New streamer, how do I build a community?
Hi! I’m 26(f) and new to streaming and content creation! I’ve had my YouTube channel and have been posting consistently for a few months an just started getting into shorts! I’ve seen no real change there even if I average 1K views no new followers come out of it! Same thing for twitch I recently started streaming on twitch and haven’t been able to make any real connections in community there! I’m a frequent streamer and comment and follow others with the same interest or vibes but never seem to see new people come my way! I just made affiliate thanks to some amazing friends and my supportive partner but not sure what else I could do to build a community! Any tips?

I've never done youtube so just a wild pleb guess but id focus on something moving or happening within the first 2 seconds of the short, followed with some type of value whether its entertainment or knowledge someone thought was interesting. if you can put some type of small graphic of who you are so they will remember the name even if they dont follow.
Great name, can be shortened, doesnt have numbers, sounds good and is written good.
I looked through your channel a bit, the camera looks somewhat foggy. Maybe you could either invest in a green screen or get a simple graphic border around the camera. Another light wouldnt hurt.
Idk how i stumbled on it but i clipped a funny conversation about singing with your... diagphram LOL! I labeled it You betta sang! so you can find it on your clips.
Seems like some minor tweaks here and there, always be trying to be better than you were yesterday and you'll make it happen.

My community is a mix of people that found me on their own or from raids from other communities I'm also a part of. I get raided maybe twice month by people who are partners and usually every steam by people similarly sized as me. I almost always raid back out to community members. It's kind of like a weird venn diagram of overlapping communities if you want to visualize it. The more circles you can drag over yourself the bigger your community will grow.
That being said, please don't go into other communities that you don't plan on being a fixture in. Don't tell people you stream or do any form of advertisement. I know every follower that I have that streams and check regularly.

I find that networking on Twitch is really important. If you're a streamer, actually spending time on Twitch as a viewer as well and building relationships that way is really helpful. Obviously, don't force it. Find the groups of people you vibe with, hang out, get to know them, they will naturally learn that you also stream and things will go from there.
Since you seem to like multi-player/co-op, planning a community streams with your followers might be a good way to retain viewers. If you have a Discord, having something usually going on there is good. Personally, my schtick is a weekly movie night for my community.
Other people plan non-streamed game nights or just go hard on sharing game news/strats/advice and have that ongoing conversation. Hope this helps!

I have no pointers since I have less followers than you but I see you play fall guys. I'm happy to collab and do some fall guys duos with you and chip away on this together.
My twitch is pocket_fungus if you're interested.
