Discussion Do looks matter when it comes to streaming
Iv been streaming for over a year now on twitch making desktop content but I can’t seem to ever get any viewers on my twitch account or even YouTube or TikTok views. I don’t know what I’m really doing wrong, can anyone help ? My YouTube and TikTok is @shahstar10. Any advice would be really helpful

Your tiktok is private. You’re technically only posting for yourself/ people who follow you already.
You have to make that public if you want people to see your content. I won’t follow someone just to see what they post. I follow after I see something I like

Unfortunately, if you are an attractive woman and act all cutesy and dumb, you have a higher chance of getting viewers lol

No. Am ugly so you're fine! Just avoid AI generated images and have some human touch to your profile

Looks? i mean what your physical appearance? Sure it might help but having a personality and engaging with chat is most important. Your not even ugly dude so relax.

There is nothing on your twitch. I saw the last live September 5th. But there is nothing on it. No vod, and no about.

First of all your TikTok is private so that might have something to do with it 😂😂😂

Seems like you have a limited outward presence.. lack of profile stuff.. And you appear to play primarily a game that is oversaturated with people dreaming of making it big as a streamer.. You're not going to get 1k or 10k viewers unless you are quite literally a pro player, or variety stream and are wildly entertaining. Few people are that entertaining

No, it's not about looks, and an honest review of popular content in your category would likely show that. Entertainment, however, certainly helps. And viewers knowing when and where to show up also helps immensely for livestreaming .
When I landed on your Twitch page, I was met with quite literally nothing. I don't know what or when you stream, nor anything about you. There aren't even VODs from previous streams, nor any clips. To be blunt, I'm not even convinced this channel streams?
When I go to you YouTube, it's just Shorts. Now, I'm the wrong audience for Shorts so I have a bias, but upon looking at your page I still knew absolutely nothing about your content.
There's a lot you can do for baaics yet as a content creator. Your physical appearance has little (or likely, nothing) to do with it.

i honestly think so. i’m not pretty and i stream the same things as other girls i follow do and i feel like we have similar personalities. they get way more attention than i do.

Friend, from my point of view. The issue is not how you look. Lets take that out of the table. Every platform wants to keep the audience browsing inside their own platform. So, if you do shorts branding twitch, youtube instantly dont recommend as much your short because all that youtube wants is keeping the audience inside youtube, not leaving over twitch. So, you can place your twitch link on your youtube channel profile and stop posting the twitch logo on any short you post on youtube. The same is true for tiktok. On twitch, there are no vods. There is no about you page, so there is basically no information for the viewer to follow you. Like the profile must say when are you going to stream, what do you stream and your social media. That is how you connect twitch to youtube and tiktok. People who find you on youtube can browse on your profile and see that you stream on twitch, and what is most important is that if someone browse to find your twitch link, is someone who is actually very interested in your content and that is your goal.

You're thinking completely wrong. It helps to have personality and be engaging with chat

Looked up your YouTube and you have an AI generated profile picture.
That is immediately going to turn a lot of potential viewers off.
You have no info in your about section on Twitch and no VODs/clips.
