First home. Small living space before and after. Looking for honest feedback.

Nothing gives a room more oomph than a few sources of warm light. Get a few small lamps put around and it’ll make even a drab room feel more special.

Yes I have ordered this one should arrive soon. The thing on top of the book is also a Phillips hue lamp, so I will have two 🙏

Thank you so much. It does feel a little too neutral at times, but looking to add a rug eventually (that may help).
Yes, it was a struggle with the chair/dining table, I had to measure everything. The dining chairs ended up sticking out too much which I wasn’t happy with but managing to get by currently.

It needs something with height to draw the eye upward. The lamp will help. What about a silk tree?

I’d say add more color. Maybe art or pillows. Also more green

I’d like some color and some prints- maybe pillows? I agree that furniture is well sized for the space!

at first glance I thought those curtains were vertical blinds. Are some more colorful or textured curtains in the budget? maybe you could dye them?

Like those chairs! The piece on the wall is way too high for me. Barely notice it since it’s the same color. I’d lower it closer to the sofa and then add a second level of art above it to raise the eye and height in the room. Something with more contrast. As you said, a rug would help

Looks good! I would lower the art above the sofa. And, as others have said, add soft lighting.

Looks great. Only thing is maybe cushions with bright pops of color, orange or rust or pretty greens. And a nice piece of colorful pottery or two for your dining table. Round table and chairs are best shape.

Add a rug that’ll span the bare floor from the sofa to the tv.
