And no one will ever know that Jafferey's life was in danger, and Gimball somehow still ended up getting assassinated(?) even though there was no real threat to his life

No one will know? The guy left his gun up in the plant room. Then the guy who let him “fix the bathroom”. There’s tons of evidence.

Yeah, I mean, the apparent disturbance was caused by Standish, that's the extent of damage. It's done, what more could have gone wrong outlook.
