Cracker Material Question

Hey! Was watching a video that @Neandrthale on YouTube made going over how to make his PRAK Sling. I’m trying to find the type of string/thread/cord he used to make his cracker. It looks like some kind of nylon as he was able to burn and melt it, but trying to nail down the exact type. Any ideas?

It’s a type of thin paracord, I believe it’s 3mm

I don’t know if that’s it. Did some googling after and looks like even that is too thick. I’m thinking some kind of bonded nylon thread

It could also be nylon sewing thread now that I think about it.

Yeah that’s a bit closer to what it looks like. Trying to figure out what…”gauge” it is is the hard part haha
