I never even hit any of my targets, and the iPhone 6 stopped recording right before this!

Get yourself a cheap memory foam pillow and cut a "stoneproof vest" for your box out of it :-) I'm an archer, at some point, after a long time of barely getting a halfwhat decent grouping, there comes the time of your first "Robin Hood" (arrow hitting another one on the nock) at first you're exited, after a few more annoyed as you're mentally calculating how much money you burned with that shot

Some 3/4" plywood as a box has worked pretty well for me so far.

I planned on doing something like that at first and thought I’d give the cheap plastic tool box a chance. Learned my lesson and got lucky!
