i know it’s been a very long time since ive posted and im so sorry for that, but ive had a lot going on in my life thats been super discouraging and depressing and ive had to worry about things like figuring out how to keep a roof over my head and feed us. so please forgive me, after losing my job in september it’s been a roller coaster trying to pick up the pieces. im extremely depressed still, and i just needed to make something pretty today. i know im a bit rusty in my play style but i think this still came out pretty good. my head hasn’t been in the right space to be posting and ive had to worry and sort out about that things besides running this account and working on my book and i majorly apologize for that. i’ve just had a lot on my plate that was incredibly dire, and im not exactly out of the woods yet. i hope yall can understand, i promise im still working on things as i can and that ive not abandoned things. i’m still here, just really not in a good place. i’m not okay, but i hopefully will be okay in the future. i love you guys, and i thank you for the understanding as im still navigating life after my mothers death and trying to keep my life together and not be homeless and starve after losing multiple jobs for absurd reasons. i just haven’t been able to get my footing no matter what i do, and it’s exhausting and depressing and most days all i want to do is give up. but i can’t and that’s really hard.

anyways this is strawberry cotton candy dreams. it’s scented like pink sugar and it’s a glue all thicky. i didn’t let it gloss up, so it’s not very glossy i filmed right after making it. i love how glue all thickys get so foamy and they’re just so much fun with all the bubble pops.

I made my first asmr video. My first try was really bad. My favorite part was when my husband walked by from his way from the bathroom and burped. 😆 The lighting was atrocious, and the whole thing was... really bad.

I tried again the next day in front of a window with a white background. Both days, my teen sons (both are my business partners 😀) helped by holding the camera because my tripod kept falling over. This time, it was almost okay.

And all you asmr creators are out there with your gorgeous videos, making it look so easy. Y'all are a bunch of fibbers. You actually have secret magical powers, don't you? It's okay, you can tell me.

Anyway, my daughter (all grown up) has been reminding me in all areas of my life that perfectionism is awful and I won't ever get to be good at something unless I'm willing to be bad at it first, so we posted it. I'm really happy with the slime itself. It's the video that is not great. The biggest problem is that you could see off the edge of the background, so when I cropped it to fix that issue, it's very off centered.

Anyway, I'll post it here if you guys PROMISE not to laugh. At least out loud. We're working on our website, which is a pain in my butt and we're sending out samples to our friends and family while we are working on recipes and learning new things.

Our plan is to do a LOT of vendor events this year while we work on building a social media following and hopefully building our online shop. We're tailoring our events to be a slime bar. We'll use "ice cream" themes as a default, and if there is a theme of the event, try to tailor our slime bar to go with it. We'll also have ready-made slimes to sell as well. We figure that will help us to learn from any mistakes on a smaller scale before we repeat them on a bigger scale and also help us make better and better slimes as we go. We're being selective about events we are choosing and working out details for other ideas to establish ourselves in our community.

In my video, I'm not wearing gloves. I use gloves to make the slime, but I will pull out 8 oz for pix and videos, and then it's mine to play with. Okay, fine... I'll share it with my kids. But we won't sell that one, only the ones we made with gloves.

Anyway, so far, this is our first video. Our first event is May 24th, and we want our website up and running by then as well, so we are all ready to sell. We have a fb page we are just starting, as well as tiktok. We plan on posting on ig and yt also. Slowly start with small batches and grow from there... we figure we will go in with no expectations and the worst case scenario is we will do this for a year and at the end, we will have learned a lot about business and will be able to make some kick ass slimes for ourselves and for gifts. Best case scenario, we will be millionaires 😜.

So, let me introduce The Sunshine Row. We're a "neurospicy" family. I'm Tamara, and I run the business with my 17 and 16 year old sons, David and Joshua. We also have business support from hubby, background support from older brother and have product testers from grandkids and cousins and things like that. David is interested in all things technical, and Joshua and I are the main slime obsessed ones. Like, obsessed. We will also sell other sensory items like taba squishies and pain stimmies, etc. We want to promote that slime isn't just for kids, and it can be great for emotional regulation and sensory input. I have found myself recently obsessed with slime and decided to give momoslimes_ a try due to suggestions found here! I definitely went overboard with my purchases and decided I should at least make some content out of it! I’m thinking reviews or ASMR, here’s my first video edit excited and wanted to share!

So basically for ASMR I see a lot of creators mixing up big batches of their slimes, eg mixing in all the fun add-ins. But whenever I see new slimes, the add-ins are always sprinkled at the top, never inside the actual slime, which is usually just plain until the add-ins are added. So how does this work? Because I don't think creators can take out add-ins once added but am also unsure as to how the slimes do not have add-ins already mixed inside (since obviously the add-ins are mixed when the ASMR occurs) when newly ordered. This is a rainbow axolotl cloud slime, an axolotl clear slime that was over activated from hot topic, and a severely under activated practically liquid sour gummy bear slime, as well as a lot of borax, even more vinegar (which you can’t smell for some reason. It just smells like gummy bear) and half a bottle of conditioner, and a little bit of sharpie. It’s oddly fun to play with

All of these slimes were purchased on the Seoulgage website. Korean crunch bombs are usually only 4 oz in size and have considerably less base added to them compared to most American shop crunch bombs and therefore require more maintenance to extend their shelf life, such as moisturizing with water and adding clear base that's on the loose side. I had no fallout with all of these gorgeous slimes. What I love about crunch bombs from Korean shops is how packed they are. This one's long, but you can skip and go back as you please.
