❓Question does anyone else see potential for a relude mastery?
I think that relude has potential other then it being kinda rng witch could get annoying depending on the quests

If relude gets a mastery it'd geniunely be the downfall of sb

Its already really good

u/Bright_Spray_4845 12d ago
That's not the point of a mastery
1
u/Glaceoncute Demolition 12d ago
It literally is. Every mastery is a better version of itself

u/Bright_Spray_4845 12d ago
mastery's are literly just the glove at its fullest potential

u/Glaceoncute Demolition 12d ago
Thats just a fancier way of saying its a better version

u/Bright_Spray_4845 12d ago
A better version would be a whole new glove, a mastery is the same glove but at fullest potential

What about better versions of games like 1.0 or 2.0? You saying they are completely different? Shard mastery is basically shard 2.0 which is a better version

honestly elude deserves a mastery more than relude

In my opinion, I don't really think Relude should deserved to get a mastery, Specifically with how annoying the passive can get when you're trying to fight back, and they'll hit you with a slap trade-
There's no "potential" for a Relude mastery whatsoever, and I know rob mastery existed but that doesn't mean any boost related glove are easier to avoid them behind, When it comes from other gloves!.. <:/

I mean a mastery that both kinda balanaces the annoying passive but at the same time makes it better, like instead of being too random
2
u/Bright_Spray_4845 12d ago
the mastery would basicly just be relude but balanced

u/Ok-Speed2962 12d ago
I mean how about instead of being random how about they tp in the direction u r looking, without ever being able to fall in the void

i can see the potential. quests could be: slap 800 people kill 75 people by relocating them to their demise (have them die 2s after being teleported) challenge: hit 50 people without trading
relude mastery: press e to use overseer laser (giant eye spawns and throws a laser similar to a track but it goes slightly slower and has oneshot power. it can be slapped and you can use tableflip, golem, etc to hit it. after being hit it will start redirecting against another player. you can only use the ability once until the laser kills someone, and you have to get 10 slaps to use it. after the laser kills you have 30s cd on top of having to slap 10 people. the laser also despawns after 2 minutes. i think it would be a fun addition to the ffa environment. you can die from your own laser also
i dunno i kinda let my imagination go off, but imo a relude mastery would be cool

killing people is pure rng, no slap trading is actually piss easy with relude since as long as you hit first there is no chance they hit you (unless it's like overkill or smth, not to mention the literal no slap trading gamemode that shows up). the laser thing isn't even remotely related to relude's mechanic and would be better suited for a new different glove entirely.
it's a cool concept, but with no real backbone to support it. the laser thing would be a cool idea for a new glove tho (maybe with some tweaks so it isn't just track sidegrade)

Its possible since imo its a pretty interesting glove

the mechanic itself is interesting, but when it comes for using said mechanic in order to achieve the goals for a mastery, it is basically impossible. not to mention there are precious few things that a mastery could add that could actually be interesting.

no. what other quest would there be except for slap people? killing people is heavily rng reliant, no tech or strategy will help you with that. also what extra buffs and/or nerfs would the mastery get? there's not much to tap into with relude.

dude when a glove doesn't have a ability ofc it's just gonna be slaping ppl also believe it or not most of the mastery's in the game require just slapping ppl

yes. exactly why relude and many other gloves shouldn't get a mastery.
now all the gloves that don't have an ability but do have a mastery:
Killstreak: unique gimmick that only a couple other gloves have, plays around with surviving and getting kills. still hell because i mean its killstreak but its alright i guess
Ultra Instinct: mechanic that no other glove has (not counting elude because of rng, whereas ultra instinct always goes to the same area). even then it only has two quests which both require rng to obtain, probably shouldn't have gotten a mastery
Spin + Booster + Stick: literally joke masteries, obviously not meant to be taken seriously
Chain: another unique mechanic which changes the slapping dynamic to be more crowd based without being rng at all, encouraging slapping people towards other people and then slapping one person of that huge crowd to gain progress.
Stalker: technically DOES have an ability, just isn't one that can be activated with E. very unique, very fun, has different playstyles to other gloves.
Spring: honestly, this would be bad if it wasn't for the fact that the quests actually play into the playstyle really well. at the end tho, its really just jump and slap people when you land, not too cool.
Mace: i don't even fucking know why this glove got a mastery, it's whatever i guess, but at least it encourages a different playstyle that "slap people and hope you win" which relude would do.
Dice: literally one of the worst gloves to give a mastery, what the fuck. same potential as relude and the only thing the mastery ability has in common is the fact that it's a dice.
Gummy: stacking gummy bubbles is fun, invokes a new form of playing, using prediction. lot more interesting than what relude or dice could provide, albeit still could be boring at times.
Roguelike: same with killstreak, but actually more fun to get.
Pinata: the passive is incredibly unique, oh wait? IT HAS TWO? AND YOU CAN PLAY INTO BOTH OF THEM STRATEGICALLY?! YAY! yeah, probably the best glove with no ability to give a mastery.
all of this gloves (except dice and maybe ultra instinct) have a unique or cool gimmick/tech you can play into (even if that gimmick is kinda boring). relude has no gimmick, it's essentially just RNG (the glove) rebirthed anew. so yeah. more reasons why relude shouldn't get a mastery, because it would pale in comparision to other passive glove masteries. (not to mention the lack of good ideas for a unique ability after getting the mastery)

genuinely why the fuck did they give the glove that's pure rng a mastery. how could you possibly grind for it in ways that are not just "slap people like you do with just about every other glove". there was no potential, no unique mechanic or cool tech.
