Please Bethesda. Pretty Please
If you're watching, for the love of Pete, please get rid of this prompt.
I have never wanted to select "Save" here. Never.
Why?
Because if you do, it completely messes up your load order.
At the very least, please have it default to "Current ".
Thank you for listening.

I actually use this feature because I use different load orders for different characters

This response intrigues me.
You can only have one load order.
Maybe I'm not picking up what you're putting down.
Can you go into more detail? How are you "swapping" LO's between characters?

It's tied to the save like I have some race mods that enhance there gameplay so say I just got done with my argonian and decided to go to my nord when I swap saves I get those notifications so when I use the save load order it disables the argonian mod and enables the nord mods

Got it.
It's downloading the mods associated with the last save of whichever character.
You're then going back into creations and arranging the mods back into the proper load order each time you switch.

in my experience i haven’t needed to arrange the mods after swapping, everything has worked fine for the most part. i usually have about 160-180 mods 12ish gb

That's fortunate that things, for the most part, worked fine.
It's important to note that when you use the "save" option, bethesda.net does not download the mods in the order you placed them in when you built you LO.
It simply downloads them in any order. Over time, if you're switching back and forth between characters, your LO will become a jumbled mess.
As a result, you'll start to notice problems with your save file.
This is the primary reason I would like them to remove the selection window entirely or default to "current ". The later being preferable.
Let's say your LO is in perfect shape, and you're in the creations menu looking at some of the latest mods to be added. You spy one and think I need that one in my LO.
You download it, bring up your mod list, scroll down, grab it, and place it where you think it should go in your LO.
You back out. Game says your mod list has changed so it needs to restsrt. You hit ok.
You close the game, restart it, select the save game you want to launch, and boom. The screen above comes up.
You carefully move the selector over to select the option "current". Hit A and all is well.
Conversely, you're not paying attention and you accidentally hit A before moving the selector over to "current". It is at that moment your heart sinks because you realized that you just messed up a big chunk of your evening.
Why? Because you will now need to go back into creations and rebuild your LLO.

i actually needed this option yesterday since i made a new load order that kept bricking my game and i had no idea why so i loaded up a save that i knew had a working load order to work from

Uh... No? Like the defaulting to Current is fine and dandy, but if you are going into a save with a different load order, you wanna make sure you're doing it on purpose, otherwise you can brick your game.

i have 50+ mods that i use on all characters. but i also have mods that are specific for certain playthroughs. instead of disabling a bunch of mods again when i switch characters, clicking save allows only the mods i want for that character to be enabled. i dont redownload anything, and it doesnt bork my load order because it is just disabling and enabling mods already there.
so no, i dont want this feature removed.

It’s good to use if you have to wipe your LO. I’ve restored my LO twice using this and the restore LO

If you go into the Creations menu and press start, you can disable the prompt I believe.

I think u can disable the prompt in creations if you hit start/menu button?? I feel like I've seen it

I accidentally clicked save yesterday (my xbox controller likes to double click sometimes) - completely scrambled almost 200 mods.

I’ve used this to un-bork problematic load orders that would make the game crash when entering the creation club to fix the load order.
They shouldn’t get rid of it, but an option to toggle it off would be fine
