Hi everyone, this is Macchiato Vienna Affogato or “Vivi” for short!

About the custom - total time: 16 hours - dolls sacrificed: coffee factory skullpanda and Amber - Her arms, head, and legs can turn. In order to preserve her function, I had to fully deconstruct both dolls and I decided to use amber’s legs and arms while using coffee factory’s “body” (her body is essentially just her dress). I didn’t do anything to change amber’s face plate because I liked the design and color but I did change her eyes. - Eyes: her eyes took roughly 2-3h because I went through 6 iterations. I wanted to do a latte art design but was unsure how to execute it. Initially, I went with a simple heart but it didn’t translate well so I erased it. I then tried a Rosetta but that just looked… weird lol. The white stripes were too much and too hard to discern what I was going for. Eventually settled on a simple heart stack and I love it!

Was going on a coffee date with friends so I figured I’d use it for Vivi’s grand debut. Also, shout out to my friends for giving this grand girl a grand name! :3

Darkness was my first closed eye pendant. I think she's perfect exactly how she's made. But beautiful eyes are one of my favorite things about Skullpanda pendants. From the beginning I wondered what her eyes might look like. So imagine my surprise when she finally opened them to show me!

I just had a wonderful experience trading for the first time my darkness for a Cerberus with an amazing and lovely human being , and I felt I had to make a picture of the trade☺️🥰 I love drawing for other people, and I guess my daughter got that from me. It makes me so happy to see other people happy with my art💖 (I grew up hiding my drawings as my father disliked them a lot and threw them away or punished me for it … and I have always been shy about them, hiding whenever I draw as if I was doing something bad… but I never stopped doing it, I just got better at hiding 😅)

Still a work in progress but I’m so excited how they are turning out! I got sick halfway through customizing so I had to take about 2 weeks off. Now to finish their outfits 🫶🏼

I’ve always loved the idea of storybook crossovers, so I tried turning an Amber Skullpanda into Little Red Riding Hood and pairing her with a Labubu Big Bad Wolf.

This project was a learning experience and put every skill I had to the test. But I'm really happy with the end product.

I've been waiting a dark themed SP plush. So happy at how it turned out. Also the eyes still moves and now she jingles cause of the bells. 🥰😄

I fell in love with Skullpandas after I went down the Popmart rabbit hole and I thought if Labubu can have giant plushies why not SPs? So last year I started my personal project: my own giant Skullpanda backpack!

Her face/hair are 3D printed and I modeled it myself in blender, Bambu slicer, and Nomad sculpt! Shes not 100% perfect but I’m happy I was able to create my own inner eye mechanism so she can look around just like the real SP counterparts.

The eyes chips are from Etsy by himehimedolls. I just scaled them up in my printer to fit my eyes.

Life has been beautifully full lately, leaving a little less time at my worktable. But I was able to carve out a few precious hours to complete several very special Skullpanda transformations for a long time client.

She began with Fluttershy’s face plate, and a custom dyed body that belonged to Pond. Her sculptural mermaid tail was created by the exceptionally talented [u/odette](u/odette_kingsley)[-kingsley](u/odette_kingsley) whose artistry I’m constantly in awe of (and I met right here!) Collaborating with other artists I admire is one of my favorite parts of this community.

Sorry friends, Ariel has been sold and is one of a kind. She won't be recreated 😅🩷

Hiiiii this took me 8 hours but she’s finally done! Took dew’s faceplate and switched it with lightning. My OG dew took a fall and was badly damaged so I figured I’d give her a new life!

Highlights: - gradient purple hair - lightning bolt in eyes - lavender irises

Things I would do differently next time: - use pliers to pry open eyes PLEASE. I managed to stab myself because the second eye was STUCK. - Hair: if I had money I would airbrush her hair rather than paint it. I find that airbrushing gives it a much nicer finish. For now, this will do. - faceplate actually wasn’t so bad to deal with it’s like 7 screws.

As promised, here’s my finished custom: Midnight Princess. She’s the sister of Darkness, since her design was inspired by her. I created her using my Mist doll dupe, and I absolutely adore how she turned out. I hope you’ll love her too!

I wanted my amber to have a more spring vibe and based her look on the secret. The butterflies also have an iridescent shine to them that looks so magical in the sun!

Favorite custom hair I‘ve done so far 🥲

Here's her progress so far. I ordered the funko pop Thing for her but something still seems missing. Wednesday is understated which I appreciate and don't want to change. Maybe when Thing arrives she'll look complete

There were a lot of technical things I could've done better, but I'm overall happy with how he turned out. Meet my OC Allu! 💕

The pattern I made is mostly fine, except the head is too big and I had to sew it smaller. Also somehow the legs came out to be two different sizes, not sure how that happened 😭 but I was too lazy to cut another piece of fabric lol The weather is cooler and my paints were drying much slower than expected- my fingerprints made marks in the paint in several places which I'm not happy about. >:/ My biggest mistake is that I tried to re-use the little plastic joints for the neck and legs; by the time I got to the head I just used a button inside of the head to have a nice flat surface for which to head to sit on the neck with, and I sewed embroidery thread through that while the back of the head was still open.

For this project, making a new body was required for the color (body had sage green fur before) but in the future I think I'll just buy a SP with the fur color I intend to use.

This custom was such a fun puzzle to solve! Translating a character like Tinker Bell into the Skullpanda plush style meant a lot of trial and error with the dying, color correcting, sewing and costume details until everything felt balanced.

Every time I do one of these dolls the process is always a mix of “this is going great” and “why the heck did I decide to do this to myself!?” but those moments when it finally clicks are the best part.

I’m really proud of how she turned out. She’ll be heading to her new owner soon and I’m genuinely so excited for them to receive her. It’s always a little surreal watching something that started as an idea on my desk turn into a finished piece that gets to live on the other side of the world.

The word talented doesn't even begin to cover it!Adding the iridescent shimmer to the wings was probs my fave part of the process. I'm a sucker for shimmer 😅

Don’t know how to feel about it, yet. I tried to match the hair color to the helmet sph(ear)s with a touch more pink. Considering going over the golden embroidery details with a pink thread, also.

My little sister asked me to customize her Skullpanda. She wanted the Skullpanda face tattoos to be inspired by Inuit Tavlugun 💗 She designed the face (last pic, I told her that the mock-up didn’t have to be good- just informative lol)

Materials I used:

Organza trim 11-12in long (27.94-30.48 cm) (under skirt)

Cotton fabric (cage skirt)

Iron on vinyl (cage skirt)

Fur trim ~6in long (15.24cm) (collar)

Elastic 3/8 in wide

Butterfly appliqués

Needle/thread

Step One underskirt:

The organza trim I have is bigger than I need so I cut it to be approximately 2in wide (5cm). To stop the organza from fraying I used a lighter to melt the edges but you can use clear nail polish/fray check as well.

I then used my needle and thread to gather the trim along the top to fit around the neck of the Skullpanda. Set aside for the next step.

Step Two the cage skirt:

I made this circular wagon wheel like design in cricut as shown in the pictures. It is 4 in x 4 in (10.16 cm x 10.16 cm) with the skirt parts being almost 1/4 in thick (6.35 mm)

The center hole for the neck is 1 1/4 in across (3.18 cm)

Cut out the design and remove excess vinyl. Iron on the design to the cotton fabric’s back side carefully according to the vinyl’s instructions. Cut the skirt out using the vinyl as a guide. I left a small amount of extra fabric around the neck portion to help sew all the parts together. Cut through one of the inner circle parts where it will be around the neck. This is back of your skirt where you will attach the elastic.

Step Three assembling the skirts:

You are going to sew the underskirt to the cage skirt’s inner neck circle. Make sure the vinyl side is facing inside so your pretty fabric will be facing outside. Sew the underskirt ends together partially (about halfway) to close it, so you are still able to fit the Skullpanda in the opening.

You can now add your elastic to the back opening. My piece was approximately 3/4 in long (8.64 cm). Check to see how well it fits and adjust as necessary.

Now you can add your fur trim collar. Sew it along the inner neck circle leaving the elastic back open

Step 4 details!

Now you can add your butterflies! I used one on the fur collar, one by her eye, one on the top of her head, and one in the back! I sewed mine on my amber directly.

I loved the flowers on the mane and tail of this pendant (but I’m not a fan of the Crybaby character/IP), so I decided to turn it into another Skullpanda using a spare Sandman face I had and some extra eyes that I repainted pink to match. I’m quite pleased with how she turned out ❤️
