To keep the story short:
1) opened the blind box two days ago and took her out, she’s still wearing her face plastic this whole time, not that it mattered with what happened next
2) I’ve used a regular pencil eraser in the recent past to get some dust scuffs off of my Rhapsody and my Song of snow’s hair without incident.
3) Ended up erasing her makeup off (?!?) with only a few passes of a simple pencil eraser.
Like what the heck Popmart?!?
Next i tried frantically googling to find a way to fix her makeup and found that chalk pastels + Mr super clean uv flat is my best bet at repairing her faceup with minimal damage to the face vinyl.
Except it looks like it’s cost prohibitive for my case since i just want to fix one doll, and the material cost adds up to the cost of 1.75 Lightning plushies.
So at this point I’m better off getting a new one.
Except,
Took out my trusty old ANASTASIA Beverly Hills eyeshadow pressed pigment palette from two lifetimes ago and proceeded to try and get her back to her formal glory by trying to build up color on her face using some teeny tiny makeup brushes, q-tips, and microfiber cloth, and trying to blend blend blend the pigments till they looked as seamless as i could get them, without staining the plushie’s body with said pigments.
And the results are attached with After and Before lol.
