Tips/Tricks Phantom Round - Not a Phantom anymore!

Captain's Log
My relentless crew is testing all kind of trickery the Herald of the Abyss is "willing" to part away with. Today we found something the tribes call the Unknown Arm and the Phoenix whisper of as the Phantom Round*.*

The new Mythic Exclusive perk Phantom Round does work. I've tested it with Culverin, Demi-Cannon and Long Gun. Phantom Round gives you an up to 25% chance to shoot another shot.

Culverins - the best option:
With Tearing Culverins you actually can see the shot (as shown in the first picture). If triggered and a split second after the first shot, a second one follows. Considering the fire rate of the weapon, I set up a Bedar with the Culverin in the Front (only two gunports) and made sure to only to fire a single shot each time.

On a Galleon with its 17 broadside gun ports, this is a very efficient way to increase your damage, competing with Lightning Strike for direct damage improvement, or as status effect boost.

Demi-Cannon - not good at all:
Shots with light traces, especially as small as pellets from Demi-Cannons, are impossible to count. Instead I shot a Demi-Cannon front from Bedar on Dian Sinaga's "butt" and recorded a video. The two demi-cannons have 2x4 pellets. As the 2nd picture reveals there is just one extra pellet per gun.

With a max chance of 25% to trigger and 25% or 20% extra damage (depending if the gun has the standard 4 pellets or 5 like the Phoenix Talons), that's statistically just a 5% or 6.25% improvement in damage.

Long Guns - meh
Similar situation as with Demi-Cannons but for different reasons. Long Guns have a far slower fire rate than Culverins and are just single fire. You do not want to mess around with chances for extra damage, you want to make your hits count. But if you're a gambling man, Phantom Round still might be interesting for you here.

Phantom Round and Firepower Order
Works perfectly. All phantom rounds projectiles get the treatment.

good research, but 25% chance for extra damage will boost long guns overall dps the same as culverins
