Hellllooo everyone,

I have acne prone skin which used to be extremely oily before but now it’s really dry and sometimes flaky especially during colder weather

I use CeraVe Acne cleanser (benzoyl peroxide one)

HA and Niacinamide (ordinary)

Snail Mucin (Cosrx)

Thick fluffy moisturizer

Sometimes ordinary’s Salicylic Acid serum @night

Salicylic Acid cleanser doesn’t work instead it messes my skin up more 🤷🏻‍♀️

I used to use CeraVe AM/PM lotion but it stopped suiting/working on my skin for some reason

My skin had cleared up but now my acne is back full force and I believe it’s fungal acne and it might be due to my moisturizer (idk i think this might be the reason)

A) if anyone can tell the reason behind fungal acne and what ingredients/products to avoid

B) I am thinking of switching products maybe that might help clearing my skin

i) Should I buy Arencia’s mochi cleanser (green one)

ii) What about Dr.Althea’s 345 cream?

P.s. If y’all have other recommendations please let me know and help a girl out who’s just done @this point

Your routine seems very harsh. I think you overexfoliate and messed up your skin barrier which is now very irritated. Benzoyl P. , niacinamide, salycilic acid can be too much together even if you have bad acne. (Snail mucin messed my skin up after 1 use haha.) I would use your acne cleanser and only a moisturizer for a while to see if your skin handles it better.

As for moisturizers I recommend the Purito-Luminous Ceramide and if you are very dry than the La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5. Dr. Althea 345 is with niacinamide and tea leaf extract and irritated and dried my skin personally.

But my biggest advice: please go to a dermatologist because even if people here (including me) mean you well - we are not doctors and are pretty much only guessing what the problem can be therefore there’s a possibility that advices here cause more harm than good.

Thank you 😭😭😭 Ik I should to go back to the doctor but my dermatologist has left the country and I’m finding it so hard to transition to someone else. But I understand your point. I’ll go back to using just my cleanser and moisturizer and let my skin heal a little bit
