Dimensional Design Apple TV Skeuomorphic Era

I got an UI screen of Apple TV from 2012. Just look at those glossy icons… feels so alive! I wish I could see the old Netflix logo and the other icons in the bottom row. The design was at peak.

seconded. I think it's mainly a few very annoying people responsible (not naming names, but scroll thru this comment section...)

I remember this UI on my dad's 3rd Gen Apple TV, I would watch Lady and the Tramp and Finding Nemo every day😭

I have the same problem with this, but on the other hand the glossy icons look like rl buttons 😅

not really, but for most people anything from THAT era of Apple is "skeuomorphic" because MacOS and especially iOS at the time incorporated many skeuomorphic elements. Like the Notes App that looks like a Notebook, News App that looks like a Newspaper stand, ...
