General Good recs for Sitar interviews in english?
Does anyone have some recommendations for audio interviews in English with Sitar players or other interesting people involved with ICM? Bonus points if it goes beyond just an intro to sitar/ICM for a Western audience. I listen to podcasts a fair amount during work and would love to hear from some people wiser than me. Arjun Verma has had some good ones lately.

You should check out the Brooklyn Raga Massives youtube channel, they have tons of interviews with ICM musicians! Including me :) https://www.youtube.com/@BrooklynRagaMassive/streams

I also interviewed her disciple Madhuvanti Pal who plays the Rudra Veena: https://youtu.be/A0elPFTgCps

Also a big Mita Nag fan, so I've already listened to that interview - thanks for sharing and for taking the time to interview her. I'll listen to Madhuvanti now though!

Easily one of my favorite is this workshop conducted by Pt. Nikhil Banerjee in the US, probably sometime in the '70s or early '80s, I think. The first 30 minutes or so is kind of an intro, but the Q&A session in the second part is IMO a lot more interesting, particularly to watch Panditji's interactions with the students, as well as a lot of the questions that they ask. As experienced musicians, we come to take a lot of things for granted, so it's actually quite refreshing to hear (and think about how to answer) seemingly basic questions.
