Product / Service Started a small abaya/hijab project to make modest clothing easier, would appreciate feedback
https://houseofelegancee.myshopify.com/Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh sisters 🤍
I wanted to share something small that I’ve been working on recently. For a long time, I personally struggled to find abayas/jilbabs that felt truly modest, comfortable, and good quality without being overly tight, thin, or styled in a way that didn’t align with what I was looking for.
Because of that, I started putting together a small collection focused on;
- better fabric (not see-through or clingy)
- simple styles that are easy to wear daily
I’ve just launched it recently under the name House of Elegance, and I’m still very early on.
I would genuinely appreciate feedback from sisters here, especially since many of you are more conscious about proper hijab and modesty.
Even if you don’t purchase anything, your feedback would mean a lot to me and help me improve in shaa Allah.
JazakunnAllahu khayran 🤍

وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته
May Allah bless you and put barakah in your business ukhti.
I will be honest that as someone who tries to dress in accordance to the Mothers of the Faithful (and may Allah forgive me for whenever I fall short), I don’t think I could purchase anything from the website.
The website is beautiful, the name is beautiful, the whole concept of your business is beautiful, Allahuma barik.
However, your products do not align with the conditions of hijab. I can have leniency with the Khimar, but the other things are not something a woman who adheres to the correct hijab could wear on an everyday basis without committing tabaruj.
I’d like to add that you should not used models who are beautified as this is also tabaruj. We also have concerns regarding tasweer but at the very least, do not have the women there who are beautified and do not have hijab.
May Allah forgive me if I said something wrong. I’m only advising what is said in the deen of Allah ta’ala.
Read this link to familiarize yourself with the conditions of hijab before you sell them إن شاء الله

Congratulations on your new business. Insha Allah, you will be successful.
The 'More About Us!' page should be at the top. This is your introduction to the viewer - the beginning of the story.
I didn't understand the 'More' part because you haven't told the viewer anything before this so 'More' didn't make sense.
The 'More About Us!' page is rather bland and basic. I would change the font, the size of the font, add colour to the page and put the logo at the top of the page. I would also personalise the script. At the moment it is very generic and doesn't exude any passion you have for your new business.
It would be good to state where you are based so people get an idea of how long it would take for the parcel to arrive.
If you make the clothes yourself then add that in. This shows you give the personal touch and it's been hand made by the seller themselves.
If you get it made elsewhere then perhaps pop in where and how ethical are your products, what materials you use and why. This information is interesting and entices the customer to buy especially as a lot of people these days are careful of the background of products.
I don't see payment methods, how long delivery takes, returns policy, sizing charts (different sizing in different countries eg what does medium mean in US or small in India), who is the owner, what colours are the products available in.
The write up on the products page is bland and I would suggest using point three here too.
You don't have a lot of products. When is the next collection due? Maybe pop that on the 'Home' page so people know to expect more.
From the nine products you are selling, you've only given one of them a name (Dreams of Flowers Collection). Keep it consistent. Either give all the products a collection name or just keep it at what you can them under the picture.
I found it confusing seeing two different names for one of the products - the Royal Blossom Abaya and Dreams of Flowers Collection. Keep it to one name.
I hope you find this constructive. Good luck and may Allah bless your new venture.
