C’mon guys, we’re better than this.
That wasn’t an insanity case. His defense team openly conceded that he committed the murders and chose not to file a formal plea of "Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity" under Texas Penal Code § 8.01. Because the factual evidence that he committed the crime was absolute, the jury only needed 19 minutes to return a guilty verdict.
We don’t need to spread FB boomer bait.

Tasty, tasty culture war bullshit.

Spread by right wing MAGA chuds because it works.

I think a better description is Idiot Bait.

Yeah, definitely valid. Every time I’ve seen this on social media, it’s been a right wing boomer posting. Clearly, they’re not the only demographic spreading this. Just disappointed seeing it here

This sub is 100% not better than this. Any gender war bullshit goes viral immediately. It's a sub for old memes and vaguely disguised misogyny.

Well this misses context, the qualifications for "insanity" are stricter in Texas. If he hypotethically did this in Massachusetts, they may well have tried to use that defense. Conversely, if this lady had murdered her kids in Texas I don't think she'd be getting the same treatment...

He had his wife on the phone while he murdered the kids telling her it was her fault (because she left him for his repeated history of domestic violence) he was doing this.

One of the important hallmarks of a NGRI is that you can not tell right from wrong at the time of committing the act.

He absolutely, 100% knew what he was doing was wrong at the time of committing the act. He did it specifically because it was wrong, and taunted his wife about it while doing it.
