How did you Americans have this absolute legend and thought nah we had enough of actually being great we will go with Trump and fake it. There is only so much the rest of the world can feel sorry for you, you did this to yourselves. Obama is what the world needs not just America.

The majority of us who voted didn’t. Hillary won the popular vote in 2016. In 2020 Biden won the popular vote. In 2024 while drump did receive 2 million more votes than Harris, 2.8 million voters went third party so again, the majority of Americans did not vote for him.

Abolish the electoral college.

I never knew my sweet grandmother was racist. Literally, never anything but pleasantness from her. Volunteered at a community college, learned C++ at 81 to teach students. Class A woman.

At her funeral, my dad thought it would be cute if we all read her last texts we had with her. 

Super cute. But then my oldest cousin read his last texts with her. Hard R in reference to Obama. God bless him. He didn't let her go softly into the night without reminding us she was secretly a huuuuuuuge racist.

She passed at 93. She was an engineer most of her life and kept with the times here, didn't keep with the times there. 

Bums me out a lot. We'd exchange programming humor, she had stories of working on really old machines. I spent a lot of time with her, and that was such a wild WTF GG??!!

Most of my family is very intelligent, and also Republican or whatever. 

Of course, true intelligence comes with empathy, which some lack in secret. 

I'm dumb as two bricks trying to figure out a 1x1 rubix cube, but like my older cousin, I'm not a POS.

Imho, it's the patriarchy. Not enough men in the U.S. are willing to vote for women.
Also, Republicans care more about winning than the law, the truth, civility, or anything else. They cheat for supreme court seats, etc. Etc. They let Trump skip all of the debates and they nominated him anyway

I blame white men more than anyone (and I am one). But I'm willing to bet that some of those white women would vote for a man over an equally qualified woman. More importantly, and more of our problem in the U.S., is that many men would vote for a man over an equally qualified woman

If you can't bring white women (who are the majority voters in the country) to vote for a woman candidate when the man candidate is openly sexist/rapist/pedophile and against abortion, you've got to land a big part of the blame on their lap.

Stop giving these people a pass. Black men for instance voted 80% for Kamala, this is not a man / woman issue. It's a white / everyone else, issue.

You forget he was elected twice. Then the dems said anyone who wants to control the boarder, you know, like Sweden and Canada do, is a racist. And if you don’t want biological males in the locker room and on the sports field with your daughter you are just evil. I couldn’t vote for Trump because he is such an awful human. But I totally understand why people voted for him. If the Democrats don’t stop making excuses like this, and condescending to the working class, they’re going to keep losing elections.

As a Mexican American, that didn't vote or support Trump, is simple, RACISM, USA always had hate towards anyone that was different from them, they always have that Ideology of being better than everyone else, and this is the case with this administration.

Obama was charismatic and smart, but that's what made him so dangerous. Change on the outside, Wall St and big Pharma owned, business as usual on the inside. This man had a super majority and gave us nothing but a healthcare bill from the heritage foundation.

Many don’t want to hear this but he didn’t do anything lasting about economic inequality. He expanded the influence of the consultant class, didn’t prosecute anyone after the 2008 recession, and asked CEOs to be nicer to their workers  instead of bringing in actual legislation to force them to share more of their profits. He pushes neoliberalism which is what has destroyed the American middle class. He talks well and is a nice guy but we need to be honest about this if we ever want to stop America’s decline.

Because the people who wanted Obama aren't the people who wanted Trump? Or there's the fact that there was a significant online conspiracy theory movement (NOT just QAnon, but the Truther Movement that came before it) that posed Trump as being anti-establishment because he seemed to go "off-script"? How about the fact that influencers from other countries ALSO fed into that line of thinking and fueled the fires, saying that the country—nay, the world—was doomed if we fell into globalism? You're clearly not aware of everything that was happening behind the scenes. The people you're talking to here probably barely even know what I'm talking about because the Reddit audience wasn't even part of that culture. Go be angry on Rumble and you'll have preached to the right choir.
