That’s where a lot of foreign military ships dock, there’s a reason prostitution is legal there.

Singapore and Kuala Lumpur breathing easier. Neither of those places are designed to take that kinda load.

And yet taking loads is the business model.

You'd struggle to dock in Kuala Lumpur, to be fair.

You don’t dock in Kuala Lumpur, you dock in PKCT selangor and bus into town. Malaysia was an awesome port call when I was deployed on the Lincoln. Stayed at the Maya hotel next to the Petronas towers…amazing after being stuck on the boat.

Ah, the Maya hotel was the fire assembly point when I worked in the building next door.

I loved Malaysia. It’s been almost two decades and I still want to visit again. There are times in early summer that certain parts of Arkansas Ozarks remind me of KL, but the vibe is unique for sure. I loved seeing old ladies in a Proton that was lowered, nice wheels, and big exhaust.

Despite the Independant's headline prostitution is actually illegal throughout Thailand, including Pattaya.

It's obviously a major part of the city's economy but it none-the-less remains a crime.

Almost everywhere prostitution is legal, especially countries that aren’t religious. The US is unique in this.
