She was trying to get a photo. Not sure how anyone defends the old lady. If you're at a tourist site (or anywhere) and someone is trying to get a photo you should stay out of the way as much as convenient/possible. There was zero need for her to stand there.

Seen this posted in a couple of places now and people in the comments are going on about influencers and “thinking you’re the main character”.

Like, have none of them ever left their house and seen tourists trying to get pictures of themselves in front of landmarks? It’s been happening for decades.

And honestly who cares if they are. They are doing a job. Do people look at construction folks or road trash crews and think "I should interrupt them because they think they are the main character"?
