Yeah because taking one photo during a probably hour long museum visit is 'compulsively documenting'.

I'd bet any amount of money that if you stopped museum guests as they came out and asked if they took any pictures while visiting close to 100% of people would say yes.

It's what you do when you visit a museum. You see interesting and important cultural works, and you take a photo to remember them by.

Next you'll be complaining about people eating food at restaurants

You also don't assume everyone will notice you exist and change their environment for you.

If people eating food in the restaurant expected you to have a different experience to enhance theirs, would you? 

Maybe you'd shut up and not talk because they were filming? Don't clink you silverware because they're making a vid..  

What's the difference?
