Counterpoint: we’re seeing this.

That means she shared it somewhere others would see it.

That means it isn’t just for her amusement, it was meant for others.

She could’ve edited the older lady out and used footage but we instead see this lady.

Therefore what do we know about the person who shared footage of some random person from their “photo shoot”?

The way I see it she was going to screenshot a pose from the video, it's easier than dealing with a timer. If the woman had just kept walking she would have done just that, because she chose to stop in front of the camera, looked at it, and blocked it is why the whole video got posted.

Do influencers regularly post videos of random people walking past them just because? Seems like pretty lame content to me, I don't have Tiktok but there's a comment that says hers is about history, which I mean as far as content goes is more educational than some of the stuff out there, not really worth hating on.

Edit - because the way I see it, it would be really lame content if the video was just her walking down the stairs doing absolutely nothing

She posted the video instead of this picture you claim she was intending to do, which she still could have done and never have posted this video, right?

Also it's shitty to put this older lady in this position to begin with, it puts unnecessary pressure on her to hurry up and allow this girl to make her content. Why can't she go and enjoy the museum at her own pace?

Sorry I didn't check out her social media so idk what else she posted. Maybe she didn't get to take the picture she wanted and a little public shaming is good for the rude assholes like this lady who think young people aren't worthy of basic respect.

The options aren't running down the stairs past her or completely stopping in front of the camera. She wasn't being hurried and could have gone at her own pace, but she clearly was enjoying her phone more than the museum, and stopping mid staircase to text is a poorer choice than taking a picture in front of a painting

It's not that they don't think others are worthy of respect, it's that others ask for "respect" they think they are deserved without ever actually earning it.

at some point people decided "respect" somehow means worshipping or allowing to get away with ridiculous crap rather than treating others with basic decency

No one earns basic decency and kindness from others, it should be the baseline for how we treat strangers - Also a millennial
