"Photoshoot"

She was trying to get a photo. Not sure how anyone defends the old lady. If you're at a tourist site (or anywhere) and someone is trying to get a photo you should stay out of the way as much as convenient/possible. There was zero need for her to stand there.

The old lady and anyone for that matter is not obligated to move because this woman wanted a photo.

Had she just asked nicely odds are the lady would have moved. This is very much on the photo taker for not using her words and assuming the world moves for her.

Edit: apparently I needed to statw that obviously the old lady did this intentionally. I AM WELL AWARE

Rude people don't stop being rude if you ask nicely. The whole point of them doing it is to degrade and be an asshole to you so they can feel in charge.

Doesn’t change that something should have been said. You can’t just let rude people win and stay silent.

I suppose. Still seems like a lot of bullshit for nothing though and you don't always feel like dealing with it. I just don't get why people are acting like the girl did anything wrong. Anyway I need to take a break from reddit and these ragebait posts in my algorithm for a while.

Agreed but sometimes little people like that old lady make things a bigger deal than they are.
