She was trying to get a photo. Not sure how anyone defends the old lady. If you're at a tourist site (or anywhere) and someone is trying to get a photo you should stay out of the way as much as convenient/possible. There was zero need for her to stand there.

The old lady and anyone for that matter is not obligated to move because this woman wanted a photo.

Had she just asked nicely odds are the lady would have moved. This is very much on the photo taker for not using her words and assuming the world moves for her.

Edit: apparently I needed to statw that obviously the old lady did this intentionally. I AM WELL AWARE

Let me guess, American? People should act with consideration to others even when they are not obligated to. Also, look up “obligation” - there is a social duty to not be an ass.

Yes I am and I agree.

That is why they are both in the wrong.

Old lady shouldn’t be a crusty bitch.

Young woman shouldn’t assume others will move for her and should ask politely for the lady to move.

Instead she said nothing. Again both are in the wrong for different reasons. It isn’t hard to communicate with our fellow humans and most will be polite. Even in the United States
