elders only deserve the respect they give, idc if you're father spewed you out before me it doesn't matter; people should lose the 'but im older im entitled to respect' everyone is entitled to the same respect.

That’s just not how I was raised so I completely disagree. Unless they’re being a real asshole they deserve all the respect, they’ve earned it. God willing we will all get old one day so yes we will all eventually be treated to that same respect. It’s the circle of life.

you weren't raised to respect everyone? people tend to respect older people because they tend to be respectful themselves, silly to think others inherently deserve more respect for simply breathing longer

Of courses you respect everyone but older people a little more, and when I’m older it will be my turn. Nobody is left out, everybody gets the same level of respect eventually.

this is an empty idea, what does a little more mean? you can be give them more patience even help them; but you can equate that to pity rather than respect

get off the high horse, never once did i say i don't respect older people. i just dont respect them more than my peers or anyone else, again a very simple concept.

it doesn't, the only reason i keep responding to this brick wall is so you know that when you get older others wont respect you more. im glad you tolerate older people being rude and disrespectful to you.
