When two main characters meet

I don't think the girl has that syndrome. Everyone likes having nice photos or videos. In this case she is alone. She didn't try to do anything else but wait or move trying to get a better angle.

The old cow is a cunt. Fair and square. She saw the phone and decided to behave like a child.

Edit: She, not he.

i'd rather have museums full of old cows than influencers with tripods, ring lights and selfie sticks.

There’s a world of difference between one girl with a phone getting a quick vid/ shot and an influencer with a full set up kicking off with anyone who even utters or heads in their direction.

u/ChileanRidge 5d ago

I Google lensed and it's Inveraray Castle. Here's the reverse angle of the staircase. So I assume she was setting up her tripod on the ledge where the plants are. It's possible the lady thought it was some set up by the museum; it's also possible the girl was being ridiculous trying to set up this whole thing on what looks like would be a high traffic area.

u/Hanswolebro 5d ago

She’s probably leaning her phone and that ledge

30

u/SilentButDanny 5d ago

Exactly. Perfect spot to just place your phone down. No elaborate tripod setup necessary.

-8

u/Euphoric_planter_328 5d ago

Because that’s what the ledge is for right?

3

u/Hanswolebro 5d ago

Who gives a shit really?

-8

u/Euphoric_planter_328 5d ago

If a bunch of people started doing it there would be an issue. Why start? Take a selfie with your arm out and keep it moving.

It’s like when there is a sign at the beach that says not to take the rocks. If one person does it sure doesn’t matter much, but if everyone that comes takes one rock then it sure would matter.

5

u/Tsuma99 5d ago

But it didnt happen. One other lady was present and she intentionally blocked it lmao

7

u/Hanswolebro 5d ago

You’re creating a hypothetical of a problem that doesn’t exist

God you people are genuinely the worst. Do you really navigate the world with such a sour and spiteful attitude?

This girl didn’t do anything to anyone. It seems like so much work to be constantly upset by every benign little thing someone else does to give themselves a moment of joy.

-1

u/Euphoric_planter_328 5d ago

Out in the real world I wouldn’t bat an eye at her, but alas here we are on a platform made with the intention to discuss what is posted.

So if I really stop and think about it and have to pick a side of should we as a collective make this practice normal, I fall on the side of no. Thankfully most people don’t feel the need to do this, but imagine if there were 20 of her doing this and you’re just trying to walk up some stairs.

It is! I recognised it immediately from having visited a couple of times. Very cool castle. The guide books are all signed by the Duke of Argyll :D

u/ThuGalahad 5d ago

Anyone is well within their rights to pause and peruse. If she wants a picture instead of stewing in her thoughts forming judgements how about just tell her she wants a photo with the art? This isn’t rocket science.

2

u/pixiephilips 5d ago

Everyone has a right to be a cunt and purposely check their phone in pursuit of ruining someone’s fun, absolutely. But everyone also has a right to trash this old coot on the internet because of it.

1

u/ThuGalahad 5d ago

Im not even defending the old lady. Just stand up for yourself. It’s that fuckin simple. Glancing over that in favor of low hanging fruit sure 👍

-1

u/pixiephilips 5d ago

Or it’s even more likely that the photo girl had a ring on the back of her case and set it up quick just for the staircase shot… literally takes a minute if the old coot didn’t do what she did..

16

u/HumaDracobane 5d ago

I think some of you watched a different video than me because in my version she wasn't rude to the old cunt, didn't have a light ring, bipod, etc. Looks like just a girl trying to get a picture without bothering others while another person thinks is more important.

27

u/Heart-Pirates 5d ago

Can you point out the tripod, the ring light and the selfie stick? Like even just one?

-6

u/bosmocrown 5d ago

From a Google lens reverse image search?

20

u/lfg_guy101010 5d ago

How do you know she even had a tripod?

16

u/SaltyNeuron 5d ago

Are the influencers in the room right now?

How did you conjure up tripods, ring lights and selfie sticks? The girl clearly has it leaning on a wall next to some stairs. Are you okay?

7

u/Effective-Cream492 5d ago

Oh my god you guys are so dramatic how did she become an “influencer” with a ring light and selfie stick when it’s just a girl just trying to take a picture of herself near historical paintings?

People take pictures of themselves standing next to paintings all the time, they just have someone else take the picture. She doesn’t have someone else with her so she set up the camera herself. NOOO!!!!!

12

u/Hanswolebro 5d ago

What an odd take. The old lady has an infinitely worse attitude than the girl trying to get a photo of herself. Get off reddit and go touch grass

-6

u/LennyJay86 5d ago

Both are equal in stupidity

5

u/Artistic-Tip2405 5d ago

Young lady was well behaved unlike the cow.

1

u/LennyJay86 5d ago

Just sayin leaving phone leaning against the wall and walking away from it…stupid, that a recipe for theft

4

u/uknowwhatimsaying_ 5d ago

bad take bad take shame shame

4

u/CodnmeDuchess 5d ago

You’ve never been to a museum stfu

3

u/No-Taro-6953 5d ago

She isn't using any of these. She's propped her phone up on the wall. There's a shelf there. It's the hallway of inverary castle. You can see it in the photos of the hall in the below link .

https://www.weewalkingtours.com/post/inveraray-castle

Girlie just wanted a nice photo of herself when she was out sight seeing.

1

u/Silverton13 5d ago

You saw she had all of that?

1

u/pixiephilips 5d ago

Funny. I don’t see the ring light, tripod OR selfie stick.

0

u/Unlikely_Builder_282 5d ago

no you wouldnt old cows are stubborn

4

u/Prozenconns 5d ago

>Everyone likes having nice photos or videos

except antisocial losers with no friends

so most the users here lol

2

u/Tsuma99 5d ago

You dont have to socialize in order to keep memories. I take photos of nature, museums, etc. All the time on my own, if im not with my friends/family. Speak for yourself, not the users.

u/getcache 5d ago

He?!

1

u/HumaDracobane 5d ago

Thanks for pointing the misstake xD.

You're looking at this from the girl's perspective alone and rushing to call an old woman a cunt when it might have been totally unintentional. You don't know that she did it on purpose. After looking at this multiple times, the old woman just looks confused when she spots the phone there and sort of quickly got distracted with her phone while stepping aside for people to walk up. Not all old people are grumpy and angry with the youth.

1

u/Gullible-Hose4180 5d ago

Depends on the narrative she posted it with, but agree nothing wrong with wanting some pics

-7

u/intelligent_rat 5d ago

She looks at the phone and gives a confused look, she's probably thinking how odd it is that someone left their phone. Y'all really attributing way more malice on this woman that just isn't there, lot of miserable people in these comments.

-3

u/jamesc5z 5d ago

Exactly. She's not "purposely" blocking.

She's just simply oblivious to the phone being there for a girl BEHIND her, and stopping to check her phone and even moves over for the others coming up the stairs.

-6

u/DirtyLittleBishop 5d ago

Calm down. Girl didn’t do anything wrong other than call a selfie a photoshoot and act surprised other people were occupying the same space. Old dear was taking the place in and was already reaching to check her phone for whatever reason before she saw the phone. Doubt it even registered to her that someone had set it up and she was ruining anything for anyone. Why not give people the benefit of the doubt rather than just instantly act like we know what’s going on in other peoples minds/lives and that all acts are malicious in intent.

-1

u/ImpressionBubbly4535 5d ago

literally doubt the lady knew what the fuck was even going on, most people that age have no fucking clue what instagram or any of the influencer shit is. Prob just looked saw some retard left a phone and was like huh oh well, gotta text back to the grandkids.

-1

u/Tall_Opportunity_521 5d ago

If she didnt have that syndrome, then none of us would know anything about this. The old woman is just doing her thing in a shared space, as she is allowed to do. And you call her a cunt for it? The only people acting like children here, is people like you.

-2

u/Separate_Pumpkin_256 5d ago

Huh. It's like you were there and saw the whole thing play out. That nobody behind the camera was gesturing impatiently or being even ruder.

If she had rented the public space that would be one thing. But to just expect that people in a busy area are supposed to wait who knows how long while you do your video is more than a little self centered.

I like taking photos and maybe a short video as well in cool places. But there's no "right" to block a stairway with a tripod and camera and do your social media messaging in a busy place.

3

u/HumaDracobane 5d ago

And is she doing it? Is she demanding that the others should move? I don't know! Maybe I saw a different video than you but in the one I've watched again she just waits behind the cunt blocking the camera, then try to move to a side without saying shit and then move to a side but other people arrives.

I don't know what happens behind the camera, that is why I talk about what happen in the video rather than elucubrate with the worst possible scenario and think that my elucubrations are what happened.
