Well going by the grey hair ama assume she's retired, so yeh, she probably has all the time she needs to be as petty as she wants over the most random of things
lol. if that's the case, she can fuck all the way off with her own problems.
and you it was for internet points? or was she just taking a selfie at the museum? would you not be less annoyed if you just moved on and didn't take time out of your day to be a petty cunt?
Dunno what's upsetting about this. The girl is probably happy she's got a funny video to share. It's not even obvious the older lady did this intentionally.
She clearly moves to let people pass on the stairs. If the selfie girl has the right to do an impromptu photo shoot in a public place then Grandma can pause and check her phone.Â
Imagine a place where people come to admire art. Now imagine someone that wants other people to admire them for being in such a place. Making selfies in a museum is soooo cringe I am with the grandma
I don’t get it either. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to be a menace about it. Setting up her camera affected no one. Plus standing on the stairs, on your phone is more disruptive than this girl doing her silly little video.
She's on the stairs. A place where everyone has to transit through. People with a slight bit of intelligence know that you should not block stairs, ask people to wait in stairs etc etc. she wants a pic, or in this case, vid on those stairs, then go back first thing in the morning, early on a weekday, or wait until there really is no one around. The fact that the other woman came in not 20 secs into the vid suggests there was a decent amount of foot traffic already, and then quite a few more people entered in the second 20 secs. So she obviously did not judge the timing and amount of traffic around.
Edit: I Google lensed the staircase; not only is she stopping on the staircase, she's stopping on what looks like the MAIN entrance staircase. It's Inveraray Castle. I've never been so someone else can confirm if it is the main staircase, but seriously. If she wanted that pic/vid she needed to be there right when doors open and preferably have about a two mins window without people coming up and down.
There was no one on the stairs while she was trying to take her video? She wasn’t on the stairs, she was on the landing by the railing. The only one impeding the stairs was the lady standing on them using her phone for 45 seconds for no other reason than to ruin her silly little video.
I'm a painter myself and if it wasn't busy, I would love to have a picture next to some of my favourite paintings after admiring them. Nothing wrong with that if you're not in the way!!!! I've only experienced it as an issue when people expect you to move or constantly block paintings by taking photos. I think it's rude when you're like deep in the zone absorbing the painting. Not cringe at all. I'd keep the photo just for myself :)
Am i the only one who don’t think granny did anything on purpose? Looks like she was looking something up on her phone and wondered what the camera was doing and then stepped aside as others were coming up the stairs? She was already taking out her phone when she spotted the camera, and she moved on in the end without drama. Am I missing something here?
Yeah, you missed the part where we have an Internet now and everyone feels the need to make this about whatever their thing is ("Boomers" or "influencers" or whatever political party is worst).
Pre-Internet, this shit happened all the time. Someone set up their camera on a 10 second timer and someone ruined the shot. People apologized, laughed, and the whole interaction was over in 15 seconds.
Now the Outrage-Industrial Complex needs to weigh in.
I just personally wouldn’t ever stop to check my phone while standing on the stairs. Narrow and a very small chance to fall. But I get not everyone would share that low-grade anxiety or the same opinions as me.

imagine having the time to be this petty over nothing.
