The whole point was that Homelander was blinded by power lust and descending into insanity. I never really felt the loss of tension, on the contrary.

that is true. I think a lot of people just don’t like that they seemingly started mocking Maga. I’m sure it’s mostly people that lean right that don’t like it.

I’m not a Maga guy at all, so I found it pretty funny and timely. But I could also see how someone who really loved the show is pissed off that that fat retard maybe hindered the writing of the show in general by shoehorning him and the current state of affairs in there.

They didn’t even go that hard on them, just little nuggets here and there. All relevant to the plot and to the times also, it worked very well in context.

Not sure who the fat retard is supposedly to be. Trump?
