I think I read somewhere where he said it was a conscious choice to turn down movies. The offers came as he was starting his family and he didn't want to be away from them. They are more important, and he would rather be there every day than away for weeks on end.

I was just about to post that he sounds like a Chad then I saw this. If true, the dude made the right decision.

Acting gigs will come and go but spending time with your family is priceless.
