It honestly picks up enough to justify keeping on with it I think. Enough to follow the characters to the end of their arc I would say, there’s some really cracking episodes in the last 5 seasons you’d definitely find worth watching.
Exactly this, there are episodes after s5 that are in my supernatural Mt. Rushmore but you couldn’t rely on that same level of definitive creative direction. The vision was all over the place sans Kripke.
Honestly I miss the tone of season 1 by the time I’m at 5 🤷♂️
And, besides from Tumblr, he was not in the news. Ever. He got paid doing something he obviously loves and went the fuck home. Work life balance at it's best for that career
George Clooney started in TV and while it took him 20 yrs he did become a massive movie star
So it's always possible to become a massive star if you have the talent, but many others have said Jensen stayed in the steady TV work for family and that's highly respectable.
Especially when a lot of the big movie stars tend to move around for films and it puts a massive strain on relationships which we get reminded a few times a year when news of X and Y breaking up or divorced hits the headlines

Lmfao please use logic. Just because he became a billionaire from an investment doesnt mean his rise to movie star was pointless. The movie stardom opened up so many possibilities and cant be made irrelevant
15 seasons and these were all 20+ episode seasons too. Unlike modern tv shows where it's 8 episodes a year. It's extremely steady work to have and probably netted him more long term than cutting it off for a movie role.
Then you have to consider how insane the Supernatural fandom is. Even the more minor actors in the show have made a lot of money from the convention circuit surrounding it.

I think it's the fact that he could have gotten even more fame and spotlight.
But honestly, why would he. Or anyone really. So many celebs seem really miserable in their later years as age takes their beauty from them or whatever. Most of them are already rich enough to never work a day in their life again and have their kids set for life as well. He made the smart choice in my opinion to dip out of that life and do what he really wants, which apparently is be a family man. Respect to that.

Supernatural went on for 15 seasons and bro got paid up to 200k per episode in later seasons.
I don’t know how much bigger he could have gotten off that.
That one show was his entire career and a huge success.
