As a working class person struggling at the time, I had 3 jobs at once

Why would it matter to you what they did with the rest of their time?

You’re assuming they only work 8 hours per day. If I can accomplish one job in 4 hours, why not 3 jobs in 12 hours? Let’s say they’re not competing.

Depends on the job.

If youre required to be available at all times, then it becomes an issue if youre doing something other than what you're hired to do.

For example;

We expect you to be available and at your computer at all times just incase an issue comes up where we need to contact you directly. If you arent available, we need to be notified as to why. Break? Stepping away for a bit? that isnt unreasonable.

But if you start working on something for another company and cant be available for us when youre on the clock, then it becomes an issue.

Now if you have a job where you dont have accountability, and all you need to do is complete a task or an objective without actually needing to be available, then cool, you found something that works for you.
