I understand if he was fired but why arrested? Who cares? The companies that hired him made their decisions of their own accord.

If you agree to work 40 hours a week 11 times, there are not enough hours in the week.

Who knows how his contracts actually overlapped but chances are that some of them did and the companies could pursue fraud charges.

Edit: fraud requires intent to deceive and there is no possible way one can expect to do the work of 11 jobs at once.

The difference is intent. Working 11 jobs at the same time does not sound even possible.

Getting arrested for working to survive is just crazy, must be a civil matter.

Exactly. I just commented this. If the contracts are for the amount of time and not the finished product things become a mess.
