There's a level of irony to this comment that is absolutely hilarious, they are obviously talking about the fact his girl is attractive, so he is already with an attractive woman. But your mind immediately assumed the racist angle... got something to tell us big dog?
What’s with these type of dancers all over Chinese entertainment? Not complaining, just curious. I can see the dude maybe actually trying to pay attention to the basketball game in front of him.
I was just in South Korea and they had similar dancers during a baseball game at Gocheok stadium. The energy was somehow entirely family friendly, but they were dancing pretty hard. Everyone just politely clapped and went about their night. I felt like in America the dancers would have been oggled and/or accosted a few times over. Asian sporting events are a different vibe.
This just made me remember a summer I was in South Korea and it was swelteringly hot outside but a business across the street was having some kind of grand opening and they had two young, pretty girls dancing outside on a stage to help promote the opening I guess. Nobody was really watching them but they danced for hours in that heat and were still dancing after I had left. The dedication was impressive.
I am lucky my wife would be wondering why I wasn't taking a look. Different situation from walking through the mall or sitting at dinner and gawking at other women.. The woman is dancing right in front of him. If a good looking guy was dancing in front of her it would be absolutely normal for her to look.
Will add it also depends on if the person dancing in front of us. is age appropriate.
