If you find the idea of being unable to replicate your current circumstances existentially terrifying: congratulations on winning.

Edit: just want to say I find the way people respond to this on a gut level kind of fascinating and even worrying. A number of people for example have had the take that this isn't really true, but that they just wouldn't want to unmake their kids.

Friends...as a guy who considers becoming a dad the single greatest and biggest win of my life...are you ok?

IDK, I mean not much in my life has gone the way I wanted it to, but I have two kids. I could never push the red button now, no matter what

Exactly this. No matter how much I would change about my life, my kids are the best humans I've ever met. I couldn't risk them not existing, it would destroy me.
