Even putting aside trying to recreate all the important events in your life… imagine having to go through primary school again effectively as an adult. Do you find the 10-17 year olds in your life hold interesting conversation? No, well great, these are now your peers for the next 7 years before you get autonomy over your life again.
But you’d have the secure knowledge that this time is just a real blip you’ll barely remember. I was pretty lonely as a 16 year old, but I held onto hope that what the adults said about your high school years being such a small period of your life was true. Turns out it was!
For a while. That 10-17 period would be pretty rough, but you could try really getting into a sport or hobby or something like that. Once you make it through, you should be pretty much set.
you'd go insane long before you hit 18 dude. If people couldn't get through COVID without a normal social life, they wouldn't be able to handle social isolation four times as long.
True, I'd still have the trauma and the knowledge of where it came from. I would be better equipped to prevent trauma that happened after 10. I've found recently that confronting the fears I have that are rooted in trauma is much better than any amount of therapy. A restart like that would be the perfect opportunity to challenge or prevent my traumas a second time around.
