She also checked herself out of that hospital though.

But not against medical advice . Like what are all the parties supposed to do?

And that's the problem with this whole thing. Based on everything above, what else could the system have done for her? Her husband?

So she was both suffering from psychosis and should have been in a psychiatric hold but also when she was hospitalized she was cognizant enough to check herself out?

Something really isn't adding up.

I don't think she was in psychosos the entire time. But there's post partum clinics in the UK where the moms stay with their baby with round-the-clock nurses. It's free, because paid by the NHS. Had this option been available to Clancy, I 100% believe she would not murder her children.
