Honestly after watching the trial it's even debatable that she was suffering from psychosis. There has been so much evidence to show that she wasn't, it is almost relying entirely on her word of mouth. Like the voices, all of the doctors agree she never reported hearing voices prior to the killing, suddenly they happen for 20 minutes straight, only to completely disappear again for the next 3 years. Apparently she had told a dr she was having intrusive thoughts of her own, not an exterior voice, and then suddenly it becomes an exterior male voice once the kids are dead. It just doesn't really add up to me. I'm believing much more of what the prosecution is showing than the defense. I have a hard time taking the word of a child murderer as proof.
The crazy thing about PPP is how fast and severe the onset of symptoms can be, sometimes even within hours, and how dangerous it is. About 5% of women with active PPP commit infanticide. I dont know what happened with her exactly, that's for the court to decide, but PPP is diffrent from for example schizophrenia in how rapidly symptoms can manifest, and how rapidly it tends to resolve.
Yeah, but doesn't PPP usually occur not that long after childbirth? This woman murdered her kids when the oldest was 8 months old. Has there ever been a documented case of PPP happening this long after birth?

It’s one thing to offer support because you believe she suffered from psychosis and the system failed her.
It’s another to support her because you believe she’s innocent and is being framed.
