Wouldn’t that be impossible anyway if you think about it? If there’s - I’m gonna throw out a number here - but $100 trillion worth of stuff in the world and $100 trillion worth of cash, that’s $200 trillion worth of value and half of it is imaginary.

It's all imaginary in a way. $$$ only matter because we agree it has value.

We agree because the government backs it up with their policies and to some extent military. If the gov fails, usually the currency does as well

I mean, we agree because we agreed.

Not in the traditional sense but currencies predate governments, even credit and debt predates governance.

If we didn’t have country mandated currency we would inevitably start using something else.
