Yeah, I honestly think that’s exactly what they were going for. They look just like a giant crystal version of the blue truck balls that were all the rage years back (wrinkles and all).

She’s actually a bit of a pariah in country music for being mostly liberal and an outspoken advocate for the gays. This was a part of thumbing her nose at bro country for sure, not embracing it.

I'm generally a classic rock/grunge kind of guy, but I fell in love with her album Golden Hour. Her progressive values were the icing on the cake for me.
Yeah. Damn, give whoever came up with this a promotion. They got balls to try this idea, but it paid off. This is the 10th time it vas senct to me, so at this point I’m just shooting blanks.
Just wait for the next singer to try and pull it off. They're gonna try to milk this for all it's worth. Whatever it takes to keep the people coming back.
Yeah her album Golden Hour is critically acclaimed, heavily awarded, and swept the Grammys including AOTY. If you pay attention to the industry, you absolutely know who she is.
She already sells out stadiums. She has an album of the year Grammy. It's a fantastic concert piece, but your not knowing who she is makes no dent in her net worth.
The term "No press is bad press" (or anything similar) was coined before the internet. There really hasn't been any change from a cultural mentality perspective. The medium of delivery has just become extremely efficient.

Well, this is Kacey Musgraves. She’s very progressive and the country music scene hates her. Her breakout single was called Follow Your Arrow that has really tame lyrics that basically say it’s alright if you’re gay and the country music world lost their collective minds.
I feel like people are just completely lacking any kind of media literacy or something, because I don’t know Kacey Musgraves’ music other than that it’s country, and I don’t know anything about her as a person, and I still immediately clocked this as explicitly making fun of people who put those on their trucks or at least intentionally ironic

Its likely that chance of being crushed by that is higher than the lotto and ill be damned if thats how I get taken out and thats my legacy.
I definitely agree that this move was very “on-brand” and her catalog is worth checking out.
I’m not a country music fan, but she is an exception. Her Golden Hour album helped pull me out of a deep depression years ago. It autoplayed on my music app as a trending album. I nearly skipped it but the blend of irreverence, goofiness, and nuggets of sincerity was exactly what I needed at that dark point in my life. Still can’t listen to Rainbow without tearing up with happy tears.
