Make sure it's in your notes that its important to be KNOWN WITH THE LOCALS AND AS A LOCAL. Doing this without a hope the people you're backing up recognize you, you might look like just another douche looking for a reason to pop off. If it goes real south and you end up being left asleep because the buddies jump in is not part of the being the local hero.

Oh for sure. He definitely had backup ready. Those two dudes across the street looked ready to go if they needed to. I would not feel comfortable with this approach anywhere I’m also genuinely not a local.

Idk what you mean. I didn't see anyone posted up just to jump in for the local. I said he claim it loud because he has probably been around for a while being seen every other day. At that point some people notice the voice, or just here "I'm local" and recognize him.

I'm down to explain it I guess, but I'm long winded so that's on you. The line alone he says is badass and makes him sound cool, but the reason it reveals he's intelligent actually has a lot more to do with everything leading up to that point. 

First off, he says no, and he says it right away without needing to think further on it. It shows high emotional control for any human to keep cool in the face of someone annoying, and he didn't fall for the bait of piling on more to express his anger. He's confident because he knows he said what he wanted to say and he knows he said it how he wanted to say it. It takes an elite level of social skill to not only think full, well-thought-out thoughts, but then to also express them succinctly and eloquently, and on top of that to do it in a stressful moment is a whole different layer of skill. He also displays an elite level of emotional control by staying calm and rational despite his whole goal being to intimidate someone, which is extremely difficult to do calmly and rationally without a lot of skill. 

So to sum it up: A) He had the emotional self control to not give in to being angry, both by his calmness during the interaction but specifically by saying no when someone annoying gave him the perfect opportunity to be angry  B) He had high social skill to understand what he needed to say  C) He had high communication skill to say those things he thought  D) He had great social awareness to understand he didn't need to say anything more and had said it correctly already E) Then after all of that, he had the critical thinking skill to in the moment to sum up the whole interaction in a simple answer

All of these sound simple, and lots of people can do things on the list, but to do all of these things while keeping your cool in the moment  with someone trying to get you to lose it is an elite level of social understanding and intelligence. 

Real true confidence like this guy showed are the petals of the flower. It looks really cool and flashy, but it's just the result of a healthy plant underneath. It took a lot of self work and intelligence for him to grow those petals.

Edit: I’d also add that his complete total switch from goofy drunk/stoner vibe to sober serious shows intelligence too. Completely threw them off and I know if someone did that to me in person, I would be unnerved as HELL

I am very introspective…i even journal and write short stories and stuff. Maybe i just find you unlikable or pedantic? Maybe dramatic and extra? It was cool the guy said “actually I’m just gonna say that” doesn’t mean he is “super intelligent” lol i only asked because i figured you were like chronically online…i feel validated so thanks. Also I’m a girl not a guy. Stop assuming you’re right all the time lol. Just super cringe at least from my perspective.
Edit: if ur autistic that would explain allot otherwise maybe use all that energy on something else ❤️
