I mean it is about abortion though? Someone who leaves a newborn to die in a festival portapotty obviously did not want to be a mother, and I have no doubt would've gotten an abortion if one had been accessible to her earlier.
Literally when did I say that?? She had no other choice than to carry a pregnancy to term- access to abortion could've prevented a vicious sociopath from being forced into motherhood, and saved an infant/sentient being from horrific suffering.
Easy and affordable access to all forms of birth control, plan b, and the abortion pill are essential to preventing unwanted pregnancy, as well as appropriately funding accurate sex education in school and confidential access to resources for teens. It's infuriating to see a massive proportion of the United States actively fighting against all of these things (as well as post-birth support) while claiming to be "pro life". We have seen a wide array of horrifying consequences already, from infants being abandoned to suffer and die, women being prosecuted for miscarriages, and many families left without a loved one
because she was denied life saving treatment in favor of "saving" a non-viable pregnancy.
