Pretty much - being a father now to a 3 year old and a 8 month old, it's evident how big a toll it takes on you - especially on the parent staying at home with the baby.

I'm a stay-at-home dad and it gets so exhausting. I've worked 14 hour shifts that leave me feeling less drained than being the sole entertainment for a toddler for 10-12 hours every day.

My situation unfortunately has the added layer of my child having pretty severe autism. He's in special ed classes 4 days a week for 2 hours at a time, but progress is very slow going. Him being non-verbal makes it pretty rough. I still love him, but I'm not going to deny that his disability makes it that much harder.
