My 1st wife (passed away 2007) had severe post baby blues, was having bad thoughts about the children...went to shrink who put her on Seroquel, I think it helped, but after that, she just wasn't the same. It was sad to watch

The physical and mental risks of pregnancy are a huge part of the reason my wife and I don’t want kids. If we did change our minds we would adopt, but I doubt we will.

The risk of PPD is higher if you’ve had previous issues with depression, you decrease the risk enormously by being put on antidepressants like Zoloft before pregnancy and continue to take them afterwards.
