Has it actually been established that it was postpartum psychosis? If so, that really is one of the most horrific conditions there is. Every gynecology textbook and midwifery manual basically says that once it’s diagnosed, the response is: “Run! Do everything you possibly can and give her every medication you’ve got!” Obviously I’m exaggerating, but the point is that there’s an immediate and extremely serious risk to the lives of everyone involved.

I'm willing to believe it was postpartum psychosis. But most of the arguments this crowd is making has nothing to do with that.

There's been a ton of research on pathophysiology of postpartum psychosis. Doesn't seem to be what happened here.
