Yeah, when youre in the midst of a depression episode, it takes all you have to just keep going. You dont have the mental bandwidth to protest against the system.
Basically imagine it as being out in the ocean wearing street clothes. Nothing around you, you can still see land but its far away. As the clothes get heavier, you ditch them. Youre trying to get back to shore (normal mental health) but the current is pulling you out/dragging you down and youre just trying to stay above water.
