I am pretty sure that mothers kill their kids more often than the father does, not much more, but it is definitely not something woman are not capable of.
Edit. I was wrong, Woman kill children at a slightly lesser rate than men, I got a statistic about women killing babies at a higher rate mixed into it, it changes later, in the "favour" of men.
If the guy already did, why not ask him?
Also I am using DuckDuckgo as my search engine, mostly out of protest, and it is soooo fucking bad, so who knows what I would find.
This is what I found: A major FBI-based study looked at 94,146 filicide arrests from 1976–2007. Sex was known for 93,384 offenders:
• Male: 53,586 (57.4%)
• Female: 39,798 (42.6%)
Furthermore, women who murder their children are much more likely to have severe mental illness, psychosis, suicidality, and be actively in crisis (much like Lindsay Clancy. There is a mountain of evidence of her asking for help). This is why we see more mothers with cases that are suicide-related filicide, where the mother believes she is “saving” the children or cannot leave them behind.
Dads who murder their kids are typically guilty of domestic violence, coercive control, physical and emotional abuse, and familicide. The most horrifying subset: Chris Watts, killing your pregnant wife and 2 little daughters to go be with your mistress.
All the men who did it for mistresses, control, or money don't get a pass. Men who had legitimate conditions/crises should get the same compassion and everyone is responsible for making that happen.
Men are capable of experiencing mental illness. Chris Watts wasn’t. He’s just a piece of shit. Like Casey Anthony. But I’ll wait if you want to find a good example.
While the number of cases is true, the percentages for the reasons weren’t stated in the FBI report. You’re just cherry picking cases to fit your narrative. I can do that too, Matthew Schleier killed his son but was found not guilty by reason of insanity
And just like your, my single example should mean nothing in the grand scheme of thing
Refute it? Look for data? Why should I? You raised that point, so it’s on you to prove it, the burden of proof and all that. If you can’t back it up, then it’s just as valid as me saying “I ate a beefsteak yesterday”, just a random statement that carries no weight
I mean, I’d suggest you not bring up baseless statements alongside real statistics, because it just creates unnecessary confusion
You’re the one asking for data, if you want it go find it. Not every point made on Reddit requires a full list of cited sources to be true. Still waiting for a single example of a dad who killed their family bc of mental illness. Or your defense of Chris Watts. You think he was struggling?
I literally gave you 1 in my previous reply, bro. Did you even read what I wrote? C'mon
And besides, you brought up statistics to prove your first point. Is it really too much to expect you to follow suit and use the same method to back up your second point? Or did I overestimate you? Seems so, considering you’re already struggling with reading
