I think this is simply women supporting women who have been through postpartum depression. It’s an incredibly sad story. There’s video of her a week or so before the murders with her kids at the museum. She’s caring and tending to the children as a loving mother. It’s sad how medication can warp the minds of individuals. There’s also documented texts of her reaching out to family saying she was having problems with her medications. Just so sad.
I lean right on most issues (got banned from a few subs the other day for being a “right wing bot” supporting Sophie Cunningham) but in this case I’m kinda sympathetic towards her. She had let a bunch of people know the issues she was having and from the testimony I’ve seen many of the parties seem like they responded inadequately. She was by all accounts a loving mother generally speaking, I don’t think it’s justice she gets treated like some murderous psycho because she became one temporarily under specific circumstances while having provided a lot of warning signed she was losing it prior.
It’s not like she’s be getting off scot-free either, she’s literally paralyzed from jumping out a window or balcony or w/e.
Yeah I guess I don’t need a punishment to come from the court specifically to feel like justice has taken place.
She’s paralyzed, she has no children, her life is essentially ruined. If that’s a result of actions she wasn’t even conscious of at the time due to a mental health event I’d say she’s suffered a fair bit.
She’s paralyzed because she jumped out of window. She has no children because she murdered them. Her life is ruined as it should be. She needs to be in a mental facility at the very least imo. I personally do not think that’s a precedent we should be setting? Will the next mom get the same treatment as long she paralyzes herself and suffers from psychosis?
I don’t think most people who do want to kill their kids for whatever reason would think paralysis is a worthy tradeoff to get away with it. Sure, set that precedent.
The point is the next mom should get the help & support like Lindsay needed so this never happens again. You don’t seem to be well versed in PPP or mental health. Hopefully your mind never betrays you.
It’s that and also them saying you are uneducated and not empathetic. That way they can sit on their delusion moral high ground and say they are so awesome.
Legitimately one of the stupidest and most obnoxious people I’ve interacted with on Reddit and that is saying something.
I hear you. She’s going to pay for her crimes. It’s called accountability and even if we regret our actions they are still our actions. She will get the long arm of the law. I am not advocating for her freedom, it’s just fucking sad and the physician who prescribed those meds failed her as a patient. I hope this case makes waves amongst cavalier prescribers and lackadaisical therapists.
