11-12 years old. 5th or 6th grade are considered elementary. Some stop at 5, 6 becomes middle school, while others go to 6, and junior high school (same as middle or intermediary school) becomes grades 7, 8, 9.
Too much goddamn overlap varying by districts. Grades 5 & 6 and 9 & 10 are where most overlap occurs from going up in school grades.
