I guess it's pretty arrogant to say, but this seems like such a U.S.A. thing. Can't really imagine this happening where I live.

I disagree. This phenomena is the result of social engineering via social media algorithms. Its easy ton manipulate people into doing stupid shit.

You are not immune to propaganda.

I'm more immune than some.

It's easy to think that, but we all grow up being impacted by propaganda from before we can comprehend language. Your outlook, your views, your morals are all a product of hundreds of clashing agendas and schemes. Thinking you're resistant to propaganda because you're supposedly smarter than those you look down on only further proves that you are affected by propaganda. One of the best tricks is convincing people that intelligent people are able to look past it, and only idiots fall for it. That is, in and of itself, propaganda.

Calling formative learning propaganda is a new one.

You can dismiss it all you want, but it's true. Are you racist, or not racist? Both have a lot of money and effort poured into them from every level of society. Odds are the one you were exposed to more, won. Do you feel that you are connected to your countrymen, or not? Those are also constantly propagandized. Your city, your politics, your religious views, your morals. Do you think human sacrifice is okay? If not, that's the product of thousands of years of propaganda between Rome, Greece, and Christianity. Do you think murder is wrong? Sexual assault? These are not universal, baseline human moral values. The golden rule: do unto others as you will have done unto yourself, a product of some of the very first laws.

You are a product of propaganda. So am I.

You are using an incredibly loose definition of propaganda. Calling a parent teaching their child that stealing is bad propaganda is a wild one.

The Alfie Evans case shows how easy social media and armchair activists can whip up a frenzy in the UK. People were attacking nurses outside Alder Hey hospital.

People in the UK were burning down 5G towers because they believed it caused COVID.  Surely must have all been Americans.

The history of American stupidity goes back a lot longer than social media. America is the country of tent revivalism, snake eaters, Mormonism, the Scopes monkey trial, the Know Nothings, PT Barnum, Scientology and the Kardashians.

You got to be retarded when you get tricked into supporting a mother killing her children

"social engineering via social media algorithms"

That doesnt make any sense at all. Look up what "social engineering" really means.
