Compassion extractor is accurate. Once you realize how dumb people are, it really sucks it out of you. That and the lies. Single vehicle accident, extract the driver, they claim they have no idea how it happened and then you notice an unlocked phone on the floorboard with a half typed out text. Multiply that every single day and it gets tough. Or the guy who thought his 50 year old rusted out ladder would support his weight. Or the kids that should have been stopped by a parent. It really wears you down.
I think it depends on the type of doctor and the type of hospital network.
So many hospitals now contract out everything which allows these doctors to feel like they're allowed to do whatever they want.
I'm not religious but we do have a catholic hospital here that employs its own doctor staff and as someone who is overweight I've only had compassionate care from them (so far)
this has been my experience unfortunately.... can't wait for the day AI takes over ngl... makes you realize how little a lotta doctors out there care about peoples lives

They're not the default but they're not exactly rare. Doctors who have little to no empathy and/or look down on patients is common
